Designed with the requirements of rallymasters, rallyists, and checkpoint workers in mind. The TIMEWISE 650 is a highly accurate, easy to use, miti-split clock. Extensive engineering, quality component selection, and careful manufacturing assure ultra-reliable operation of this essential check point timing instrument. The TIMEWISE 650 uses liquid crystal display (LCD) and ultra low power, custom programmed micro-computer to provide one year of operation from 4 AA batteries. The half inch high digits are easily read in full sunlight and "on demand" back light illumination enables night time use. Its small size and light weight make it easy to hold and operate with one hand.
In addition to maintaining accurately the time of day the 650 is used to split the current time as a rally car enters a checkpoint. Each time the Split switch is activated the time of day is stored. Up to 50 splits can be stored. Activating Recall displays each recorded time in the order stored. The Check position allows you to temporarily look at the live clock when a split time is showing. If you want to review previously stored splits, you just activate Review until you find the data needed.
A remote split input connects to most roll over or optical sensors for automatic checkpoint timing. Each time the 650 is split, whether manually or remotely, a buzzer briefly sounds. Also intelligent debounce circurity on the remote input prevents multi-splits from a single vehicle.
A secure but simple clock setting procedure prevents checkpoint workers from accidentally changing the time. No more dreadful loss of time, you cannot turn the 650 off.
The clock is easily set to any hour, minute and any second or hundredth of a minute. The 650 can be synchronized to a time standard and alternate between seconds or hundredths after the clock is set. This makes alignment to broadcast time standards easy: after setting the clock in seconds, change to hundredths of minutes to run the rally. You can also view time in 10ths of seconds or thousandths of minutes
A 650 can also automatically set the time and counting mode in another Timewise chronometer in a master / slave arrangement. Once one 650 has been set to the time of day, several more units can be set in a matter of moments. This is a great time saver when the lead car sets the times at each checkpoint.
